Business Wire, which distributes company press releases, announced that it is launching its own television show called BizWireTV.
The show will begin on Oct. 16 and will be hosted by Erin Ade. It will be produced in New York.
“Business Wire has access to a powerful stream of business news content passing through our newswire on a daily basis,” said Business Wire CEO Cathy Tamraz in a statement. “We will use our social and media monitoring tools to bring deeper insights into what we see driving the news conversations.”
The web video series that will feature two weekly episodes. The first episode will spotlight stories on startups and technologies, entrepreneurs in the startup community, funding announcements, business trends and companies to watch. Business Wire will use media analytics and social monitoring tools to identify the week’s trending stories.
The second weekly episode, The Accelerator Report, will feature a preview of upcoming IPOs, scheduled earnings announcements, recent funding announcements, and trends to watch in the coming week.
Amy Feller has been hired to executive produce BizWireTV. She comes to Business Wire following a role as executive producer for “The Suze Orman Show” on CNBC.
