Business magazine planned for coastal Virginia

The Virginia Beach, Virginia, magazine publisher that currently produces Lynchburg Business Magazine is planning to launch a business magazine for the coastal Virginia area this summer.

CoVa Biz magazine is expected to launch in June.

The magazine is being produced by Vista Graphics Inc., which currently publishes Coastal Virginia Magazine, Lynchburg Living Magazine, Virginia Wine Lover and Central Virginia Bridal Guide, among other magazines.

According to the magazine’s website, its editor is Angela Blue, who joined Vista Graphics in 2010 as the assistant editor, and within less than a year, she was promoted to associate and web editor. She writes and edits editorial content for Hampton Roads Magazine and Hampton Roads Bride, manages editorial content for Visitor Guides and compiles the e-newsletters for Hampton Roads Magazine, e-Dish, Virginia Wine Lover Magazine and Hampton Roads Bride.

Lynchburg Business magazine was founded in September 2009 and is a monthly publication.

Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
