Business Insider reporter Licea moves to features desk

Melkorka Licea

Business Insider senior wealth reporter Melkorka Licea is moving to the features desk.

She had been covering the lifestyles of the rich and famous since joining Business Insider earlier this year.

Licea was previously at the New York Post, where she was a news reporter, enterprise reporter and features reporter. She had been at the Post since November 2014.

She was also a contributing writer at XLR8R.

Licea is a graduate at Evergreen State College.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
