Business Insider has promoted Jessica Liebman to global managing editor.
She previously was executive managing editor.
“Jess built our newsroom, participating in the hiring of all ~350 people in it,” said global editor in chief Nicholas Carlson in a tweet. “She and her team of managing editors help the rest of us train, develop, and deliver impactful journalism.”
Liebman was also the managing editor from September 2010 to April 2015 of Business Insider, where she oversaw hiring and manages the newsroom, among other things.
Before coming to Business Insider, she was an editor at Big Think, a website that produces video interviews with thought leaders. Liebman also worked as an editor at Condé Nast Portfolio magazine, the now-defunct monthly business publication. She’s a graduate of Cornell University.
