Business Insider hires Your Money editor

Lauren Lyons Cole

Lauren Lyons Cole has been hired as the Your Money editor at Business Insider.

Lyons Cole was previously the personal finance editor at the International Business Times.

Before joining International Business Times, Lyons Cole was a personal finance contributor for TheStreet.com.

Her financial planning career began at a Manhattan-based wealth management firm, which she later left to create her own firm. As a financial expert and educator, Lyons Cole has appeared at conferences, corporate events and universities.

She is a frequent guest on television and radio networks, and has appeared on NBC’s “Today Show,” ABC’s “World News Tonight,” “CBS This Morning,” Fox News, Fox Business, and Marketplace Money.

She is also a certified financial planner.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
