Benjamin Snyder has been hired by Business Insider as a managing editor.
His first day was Monday. Snyder will focus on growing the markets team.
“I’ll also assist with the fellowships program as well as other strategy projects across the newsroom,” said Snyder on Twitter.
He has been working as a story editor at Storyful for the past three months as a contract employee. Before that, he was an audience development editor at Bloomberg News and an associate blog editor at LinkedIn.
He also worked at CNBC’s Make It as leadership editor. Snyder spent the nine months as an assistant managing editor of Odyssey, where he launched a breaking news team to cover trending subjects across the U.S. with over 35 reporters.
Before that, Snyder worked at Fortune.com as an associate editor and a reporter.
