Business Insider copy chief Daniel McMahon has left his post after more than 7 years with the company.
During his time as the company’s first copy chief, he grew the copy desk from one person editing to eight full-time copy editors editing hundreds of stories.
He was also social media editor at Peloton Magazine on a contractual basis.
McMahon has also worked as a copy editor and homepage editor at Time magazine. He was also a contributing writer at VeloNews.com and a senior online editor at Bicycling Magazine. He has also served as senior copy editor at eMarketer Inc.
He has also held editorial roles at Time Inc., and Haymarket Media Group.
McMahon is a graduate of Northern Illinois University.
