Business Insider adds two to investigative team

Business Insider has added a reporter and an editor to its investigations team

Rachel Premack has joined the team after working as a senior transportation reporter for Business Insider.

She previously was a journalist in Seoul, South Korea. Her articles were published in The Washington Post, Forbes, Foreign Policy, The Ringer, Quartz, CityLab, Business of Fashion, The Verge, and others. She’s also published research on the Korean and Japanese economies in SAGE Business Researcher, a scholarly publication for business school students.

Daniel A. Gross has been hired as a senior editor.

Gross has been senior associate editor of Atlas Obscura since August 2019 and a web contributor to New Yorker magazine. He has also been published in New York Times Opinion, The Guardian, and Literary Hub, among other publications. His audio stories have run on All Things Considered, Reveal, WNYC’s Nancy, BBC World Service, and 99% Invisible.

The team is run by John Cook.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
