Business in Vancouver reporter and editor Hayley Woodin has been named executive editor.
A story on its website states, “Woodin joined BIV in 2016 and has presented radio, television, podcasts and events on behalf of the publication while contributing extensively to its digital and print journalism as a reporter and editor. In the last year she has taken on leadership of BIV’s magazine portfolio.
“In her new role she will continue to contribute to BIV’s journalism and in the immediate term help develop its efforts to strengthen its subscriber base. She will build upon her leadership of special projects for BIV in bridging to the business side of operations and join managing editor Tim Renshaw and deputy managing editor Mark Falkenberg as part of a team guiding a broad range of editorial activities.
“Woodin is a journalism graduate of Kwantlen Polytechnic University and chairs the program’s advisory committee. She is a contributor to the BBC program, Business Matters, and is a former media fellow of the Asia Pacific Foundation.”
