Erick Schonfeld, who had been editor at large at the Time Inc. business glossy Business 2.0 that is being shut down after its October issue, is becoming co-editor of the TechCrunch blog along with founder Michael Arrington, according to Matt Richtel of the New York Times.
Richtel wrote, “No shrinking violet himself, Mr. Schonfeld says he and the opinionated Mr. Arrington should get on just fine.
“‘I know I agree with at least half of what he writes about,’ Mr. Schonfeld, adding: ‘He always believes he’s right. Maybe we’re alike in that way.’
“Any disagreements will have to be virtual. Mr. Schonfeld, 35, who lives in Brooklyn, will work from New York. Mr. Arrington will continue to operate Techcrunch –and his parties and conferences and other ventures–from Atherton, Calif., in Silicon Valley.”
