Boston/Rhode Island Inno hires Perez as reporter

Miranda Perez

Tech and innovation news sites BostInno and Rhode Island Inno has named Miranda Perez as Inno reporter in those markets.

Doug Banks, executive editor of the Boston Business Journal, writes, “Perez, a Chicago native, joins Inno from Atlanta, where she is scheduled to graduate from Clark Atlanta University in May with a bachelor’s degree in business, with a concentration in print journalism and mass media arts.

“Perez has been a reporter for multiple online outlets during her time at Clark Atlanta. She was not only the editor-in-chief of the college newspaper, but also has been a contributing writer to YR MediaOz Magazine, the Poynter Institute’s HBCU GA voter guide, and Her Campus Clark Atlanta, where Perez was president of the campus chapter, responsible for a team of nearly two dozen members writing articles and creating social media to an audience of collegiate women.

“Also for online magazine Her Campus, Perez and three other students launched HerHBCU, a three-day conference to aid historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). The project quickly reached over 1,000 students nationwide and led Boston-based Her Campus Media to revisit how it serves Black students.”
