The Financial Times has hired Eleni Varvitsioti to cover Greece and Cyprus.
She has been a senior reporter and producer for SKAI TV in Athens, reporting, field-producing and writing investigative reports, international news stories, and newsmaker interviews, profiles and historical documentaries. She reported, produced and wrote a two-part investigation on the events leading to the Argentinean economic meltdown and how is its economy today.
Varvitsioti has also been a contributor to The New York Times and a freelance field producer for ABC News.
She is a graduate of Boston University in broadcast journalism.
