Bloomberg TV launching new documentary series

Bloomberg Television announced Thursday that it’s starting a new documentary series called “Bloomberg Game Changers.”

The first episode will air tonight. Documentaries have previously been the domain of CNBC when it comes to business news and information on television.

“Bloomberg Game Changers” will look at today’s most influential leaders in technology, finance, politics and culture. Eleven episodes, airing now through January 2011, will profile subjects including Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs, Google co-founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page, Jon Stewart, Henry Kravis, Jay-Z, Larry Ellison, Craig Newmark, Marc Andreessen and Anna Wintour and more.

Tonight’s premiere tells the story of controversial Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. From the birth of Facebook in a Harvard dorm room to the company’s ever-expanding complex in Palo Alto, the 30-minute documentary examines Zuckerberg’s climb from geeky computer science student to CEO.
