People who submitted their e-mail address on the FT Tilt site received an e-mail Thursday about what the new service from the Financial Times will be.
“We’re setting up bureaux (which is really just journo-speak for offices) in Asia, Latin America, the UAE and one or two other places we find interesting.
“The service is led by Paul Murphy, the founding editor of a hyperactive financial blog by the name of FT Alphaville. We hope some of you have heard of it.
“Paul is FT Tilt’s Editor in Chief and promises to busy himself with stuff like editorial oversight and strategic guidance.
“Lucky then that Paul is joined by Stacy-Marie Ishmael, who will be FT Tilt’s Editor. Stacy-Marie also heralds from FT Alphaville, where she spent quite a lot of time writing about CDSs and other acronyms of mass destruction. Stacy-Marie maintains an occasionally intemperate Twitter feed, and if you’re interested in such things, you can follow her; she’s @s_m_i.”
