Thomas Penny, a reporter at Bloomberg News in London for the past 13 years, has left the news organization.
“I’m going to have a break while I decide what to do next,” he wrote on Twitter. “Thank you to everyone who’s supported me on the way.”
Penny covered UK politics through a tumultuous period of British history, including four general elections, three referendums, and one recession. He previously was deputy news editor at The Daily Telegraph.
He was also a reporter for The Mail on Sunday and editor of Gloucestershire Gazette series of weekly newspapers.
