Steve Matthews has been named the new bureau chief for Bloomberg’s Atlanta office. He succeeds Adam Levy, who left in March to join an Atlanta-based public relations firm.
Matthews has been in the bureau for 10 years. He has covered everything from consumer products to Coca-Cola and the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.
Before joining Bloomberg, Matthews was the business editor of the Tampa Tribune, where Levy was one of his reporters. Matthews was also an assistant business editor at the Charlotte Observer.
Matthews is a graduate of Clemson University.

Second that on Steve: a great biz journalist, great leader, great person.
Makes me nostalgic for the old days. Maybe you and I should go back to work there (and bring Nomar and the Shink back, too?). I'm not sure my liver could handle it. Of course, if we rounded up z-man and his jim kelly photos, leigh hogan, grandma, not to mention mickie, i might be convinced.
z man?
