Adveith Nair has been named Gulf bureau chief in Dubai for Bloomberg News.
He will run Bloomberg’s news operations in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait and Oman.
Nair has been in London for the past eight years. For the past three years, he has been a senior editor on the EMEA desk, leading the morning EMEA news call to identify the most important stories across regions, and helping shape coverage for the terminal, website and television.
He previously was interim bureau chief, team leader for UK/Ireland/Nordic breaking news and deputy team leader for UK speed/breaking news.
Nair also worked at Reuters for four years.
