Ryan Tuck, the deputy news director of state and international tax coverage at Bloomberg BNA, is leaving the news organization next month for a job at McClatchy.
His last day at Bloomberg BNA is Oct. 5.
Tuck is becoming a product manager for news strategy at McClatchy later in October. He will be working with journalists and editors across the U.S. newsrooms, and other product managers, to implement audience strategies with the newsrooms and to prioritize news development work.
Tuck has been at Bloomberg BNA for the past five years. He has been deputy news director for state and local tax coverage, an assistant managing editor, a managing editor and a legal portfolio editor.
He previously worked at the New York Times as a user experience analyst. He holds a law degree from the University of Georgia and a bachelor’s and master’s degree from UNC-Chapel Hill. At UNC, he was editor in chief of the student newspaper, The Daily Tar Heel.
