Biz reporter Zeitlin leaves BuzzFeed

Matthew Zeitlin

Matthew Zeitlin, a business reporter at BuzzFeed News, has left the news organization.

His last day was Monday. He was one of the original staff members on its business news desk when it launched in 2013.

His primary focus was on finance and economics, and especially consumer finance and markets.

Zeitlin told Talking Biz News he’s looking for something full time and plans to do some freelancing while searching.

Before BuzzFeed, he worked as a business reporter for Newsweek and The Daily Beast.

He’s a Northwestern University graduate.
