Mickey Meece, a former editor on the New York Times business news desk and at American Banker, has been hired as managing editor of Insider Louisville.
A story on its website states, “Most recently Meece was a staff editor at The New York Times, where she previously covered business, finance, features and other topics. Beginning on Aug. 15, she will oversee daily news coverage and help lead the editorial team at Insider Louisville.
“‘Mickey brings with her a wealth of journalism experience, and she will be an asset to IL as our news operation continues to gain momentum,’ said Sarah Kelley, executive editor and VP of content at Insider Louisville.
“Meece is a native of Louisville, a Kentucky Colonel and a graduate of the University of Kentucky. Before you ask — what high school did she go to? — she spent those years in Ashland (and graduated from Holy Family High School).”
