Biz editor named at Texas paper

Chad Thomas has been named business editor of the Tyler Courier-Times-Telegraph, according to a story on its site.

The story states, “Thomas will oversee coverage of local business, industry and economic development appearing in the Tyler paper and on Tyler-Paper.com.

“A Central Texas native, Thomas joined the Tyler paper in January as a news reporter and features writer.

“He has worked as the city government reporter of the Williamson County Sun in Georgetown and as the sports editor of the Round Rock Leader. He also has written sports for the Dallas Morning News.

“Thomas is a 2002 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, where he worked as a sports writer and later sports editor for The Daily Texan. He completed his journalism master’s coursework at Ohio University in 2008.”
