Michael Seale, the banking and finance reporter at the Birmingham Business Journal, is leaving the American City Business Journals paper next week.
Seale is becoming the editor of Patch.com’s new Birmingham site. It has not launched yet, but should be online in August.
He has been at the Business Journal since March 2015 and also covers the legal industry in the Alabama city.
Before joining the paper, Seale was a freelancer, offering writing/editing, media relations duties, promotional assistance and media consulting, including social media, web presence consultation and event planning. He also worked for the Courthouse News Service.
He’s a graduate of the University of Alabama-Birmingham.
