This Pennsylvania daily is one of the best in the state, and probably the country, of its size. (I judged the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association contests a couple of years back, and was extremely impressed with this paper.) It covers the area around Penn State University.
Executive Editor Bob Heisse had this to say about its business coverage in a column this morning: “Business Matters covers a lot of that growth, with feature stories on several sectors of the economy and our annual list of the top employers.
“These are our biggest business sections of the year, but you can think of them as setting the stage for business coverage throughout 2006.
“I hear often from readers who appreciate the increase in local business news in the Centre Daily Times. Specifically, they like updates on where things stand in construction and hiring and reports on new businesses.”
