Barron’s Group names Keown deputy bureau chief for EMEA

Callum Keown

Callum Keown has been named deputy bureau chief for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Barron’s Group, which includes Barron’s and MarketWatch.com.<

He is currently a reporter for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, writing for MarketWatch, Barron’s, Penta and Financial News.

Keown has been with the company since July 2019. He previously was a reporter for City A.M. in London covering the markets, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture.

He also worked at The Oxford Times and Oxford Mail.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
