Reuters banking reporter Dan Freed has left the news organization after two and a half years.
Freed has been hired as a director at D.S. Wolf Group International, which is based in New York and works with financial companies.
“Reuters is an outstanding news organization, and it wasn’t an easy decision to leave, but after nearly 18 years as a financial journalist I wanted to try something different,” said Freed in a message to Talking Biz News.
At Reuters, Freed covered Bank of America and Wells Fargo. He joined in July 2015 from The Street.
Freed, who has been at The Street since April 2008, has been covering Wall Street since 2000. He has been a reporter for Wall Street Letter, BondWeek, Corporate Financing Week, Real Estate Finance & Investment, Investment Dealers’ Digest and Institutional Investor magazine. He has also published freelance writing in New York Press and The New York Sun.
He was an assistant managing editor at Investment Dealers’ Digest. Freed graduated from Northwestern University with a B.A. in English.
