American Banker has hired Rocha as a reporter

Polo Rocha

American Banker has hired S&P Global Markets reporter Polo Rocha.

His first day is Monday.

Rocha has been at S&P Global since November 2017 writing primarily about the Federal Reserve Board, focusing on monetary policy and financial regulation.

He previously spent a year at WisPolitics.com as a reporter and a year at WisBusiness.com as a reporter covering Wisconsin’s tech sector, health care, local economic development and other topics.

Rocha is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
