Alonso joins Maryland Daily Record as a business reporter

Johanna Alonso has joined the Maryland Daily Record as a business reporter.

Alonso has also worked as a general assignment intern at Richmond Times-Dispatch and as an editorial intern at University of Maryland Baltimore County Magazine. She was also with The Retriever Weekly for more than 2 years, joining as a staff writer and then holding the post of student life editor. Later on, she held the post of news editor.

She has also worked as a theater reviewer at MDTheaterGuide and as a writing center tutor at UMBC Learning Resources Center. She was also a co-lab intern at UMBC Interdisciplinary CoLab. She was also an intern at Washington Independent Review of Books.

She has also worked as an editorial intern at Roland Park News Magazine.

Alonso is a B.A. from University of Maryland Baltimore County.
