Gabrielle Porter has joined Albuquerque Journal as its business editor.
Raised in Denver, Porter started her career at small-town newspapers covering everything from county government to crime during stints in Gillette, Wyoming; Evergreen, Colorado; and, most recently, Grand Junction, Colorado.
After that, Porter moved to Thailand and for an experiential education company there.
Now, she has moved to Albuquerque to “learn the lay of the land” as a member of the Journal’s editorial board, meeting with members of the community and writing editorials.
“I’m beyond excited to jump into my new role alongside the phenomenal reporters who work every day to tell the story of the world of business and industry in New Mexico,” she wrote. “I look forward to getting out and meeting those of you in the business community and to hearing from you, our readers. Tips and suggestions are always welcome.”
