Alabama paper starts biz news blog

The Huntsville Times newspaper in Alabama is starting a business news blog to keep its readers up to date with the latest information, writes business editor Wayne Smith.

Smith wrote, “To help keep up with what’s going on in the high-tech and defense world that is Huntsville, The Times is kicking off a new blog, Following the Money, on al.com. Visit the blog at http://blog.al.com/followingthemoney.

“Business writer Brian Lawson suggested the title for the blog last week, and I think that clearly states its purpose.

“Following the Money will offer members of our business staff the chance to hear more from you about what’s going on in the business world. It also gives us the opportunity to post more items that will hopefully be informative, or sometimes just entertaining.

“We’re hoping for feedback on the site. Taking a minute to provide us with some basic information and picking a password will allow you to post comments, share your knowledge and spark new pursuits.”
