Adweek has promoted Nicole Ortiz to senior story editor overseeing the other editors.
“Can’t wait to continue geeking out over copy editing and refining our web processes with this wonderful team,” she wrote on Twitter.
She had been senior editor overseeing op-eds and the Trending section of the publication
Ortiz has also been the community editor at Adweek, where she focuses on garnering op-ed pieces for the Voice channel and manages Adweek’s communities, such as the Advisory Board, Voice Network and Academic Council.
She also helps lead newsroom initiatives on diversity and inclusion. Ortiz previously served as the managing editor for Best Lawyers magazine.
