American City Business Journals, which operates business news operations in 45 markets around the country, is starting an email newsletter focused on the business of higher education.
The newsletter will be written by Hilary Burns and will be part of ACBJ’s National Observer, which launched in April as a daily newsletter.
It will start on Sept. 28 and come out twice a week.
The newsletter will cover competition and strategies, classroom and online learning trends and other topics.
Burns was previously the associate editor of the Boston Business Journal, doing data-driven journalism and digging into stories and special projects in different industries. Burns also covered community banking at American Banker. She previously covered banking, technology and entrepreneurship at the Charlotte Business Journal.
The National Observer was a daily newspaper operated by Dow Jones & Co. from 1962 to 1977. And former ACBJ CEO Ray Shaw helped start the National Observer during his time at Dow Jones.
