American City Business Journals, which operates more than 40 business newspapers across the country, is launching Bay Area Inno in California to cover entrepreneurs and innovation in the Bay region.

Kevin Truong, assistant managing editor of the San Francisco Business Times, writes, “Bay Area Inno is part of a national network in more than 40 cities nationwide through our parent company, Charlotte, North Carolina-based American City Business Journals. About 20 ACBJ cities already have Inno websites, and the rest of the markets will join them in September.

“Bay Area Inno will offer insightful editorial content written by our reporters, including the Business Journal’s Cromwell Schubarth — the editor of the Business Journal’s TechFlash — and Sonya Herrera, a new Business Journal reporter on the Inno and workforce beat. Business Times Assistant Managing Editor Kevin Truong (that’s me) will coordinate coverage on the Bay Area Inno site and will also contribute content. Inno will also feature special publications and events, such as Inno Under 25, Inno on Fire and Startups to Watch.

“Buried within our coverage could be a mention of an angel investor, accelerator, new hire, product launch, acquisition target, merger partner — you name it — that can help you grow your business, in line with our mission to deliver that same business intelligence in our regular content.”
