ABC News has promoted Stacia Philips Deshishku to the post of executive editor and senior vice president. She will be based in New York.
In her new role, Deshishku “will lead the editorial, strategic and creative cross-platform direction across the news division,” according to ABC News president Kim Godwin.
Previously, Deshishku served as vice president and general manager of ABC Radio. Before that, she held the post of deputy bureau chief in Washington D.C. at ABC News.
Prior to that, she was at CNN, where she held various roles, including director of news planning, director of coverage, manager for political coverage and assignment editor. She has also worked at CBS News.
Deshishku graduated from Southern Methodist University.
