Scientific American has appointed Arminda Downey-Mavromatis as an audience engagement editor. Downey-Mavromatis was a senior editorial project manager and assistant editor at Chemical and Engineering News, where she also interned. She was a deputy editor at the Columbia Daily Spectator.
