Ben Fritz, who had been artificial intelligence editor at The Wall Street Journal, is becoming the publication’s entertainment industry reporter.
He will be covering everything in entertainment, broadly defined: Streaming, film, TV, franchises, and the intersection of media and tech, including AI.
He was previously West Coast editor for U.S. news at The Journal. Before that, he covered the entertainment industry for the Journal, as well as the Los Angeles Times and Variety. He reported and hosted The Journal podcast miniseries “With Great Power” and is author of the bestselling books “The Big Picture: The Fight for the Future of Movies” and “All the President’s Spin.”
Fritz has won awards from the Society for Advanced Business Editing and Writing and the Los Angeles Press Club and edited coverage that won awards from the National Association of Black Journalists and the New York Press Club.
