
Polya Lesova has been named evening news editor at The Wall Street Journal.
In that role, she ensures the Journal’s news offering is best-in-class and oversees the curation of digital platforms. She works closely with coverage and bureau chiefs as well as the publishing and platforms teams.
Lesova has worked at the Journal since 2014 in a variety of roles, including senior editor on the publishing desk and deputy editor for finance and markets coverage on the real-time desk.
Before that, she spent seven years at MarketWatch where her roles included deputy markets editor in New York, London bureau chief and markets reporter in Frankfurt.
She has an undergraduate degree in political science and journalism from the American University in Bulgaria and a graduate degree in journalism from New York University.
