The Wall Street Journal has named Joshua Jamerson its deputy editor of business, economics and finance coverage in Europe.
He has been deputy politics editor, based in Washington. Most recently, he was the East Coast bureau chief on the U.S. News desk, leading coverage of national affairs in major regions of the country ranging from Boston to Miami and across the Deep South.
Previously he was a national politics reporter in Washington. In that role, Joshua covered the 2022 midterm elections and the future of the U.S. political parties, spending much of his time on the campaign trail.
In 2021, Joshua was a member of the Journal’s “The Tulsa Race Massacre | 100 Years Later” project, which included his reporting from Tulsa, Okla., on Black Americans struggle to create a thriving business community. The series was a finalist for the 2022 Pulitzer Prize for Explanatory Reporting.
He previously covered Congress and the 2018 midterm elections. He first joined the Journal in 2016 to cover breaking corporate news from New York.
