Liz Essley Whyte will be joining The Wall Street Journal to cover the intersection of pharmaceuticals and Washington, including the U.S. Food and Drug Admission, Congress, the White House and how drug makers and federal policy makers interact.
Recently, Whyte was working as a senior investigative reporter at The Center for Public Integrity. She had been with the nonprofit newsroom for over 7 years, previously covering health, money and influence in politics.
Before that, she reported on money in state politics using television and campaign finance data as an American University fellow. She also served as managing editor of The Philanthropy Magazine, a quarterly magazine.
She has also written for The Washington Examiner.
Whyte has a B.A. from Hillsdale College and a master’s degree from American University.
