Wall Street Journal editor in chief Emma Tucker sent out the following on Thursday:
I’m pleased to announce the appointment of Dave Brown as deputy coverage chief, Washington, DC.
As the news from Washington shows no sign of slowing, Dave will help to elevate our industry-leading coverage. He will work alongside fellow Deputy Janet Adamy and Coverage Chief Damian Paletta as they oversee the Politics, Law, National Security and Enterprise teams from the nation’s capital.
Dave joins us from Politico, where he has been the deputy managing editor, global security for the past year after various roles overseeing national security and defense coverage. Previously, Dave worked at the Washington Examiner and Defense News.
Dave will start on September 22. Please join me in welcoming him to the Journal.
