WSJ graphics reporter Hand has died

Wall Street Journal managing editor Liz Harris sent out the following:

I am very sorry to have to tell you that our colleague and friend Kevin Hand passed away yesterday. Kevin joined the Journal in 2019 as a Graphics Reporter creating graphics for our digital and print platforms.
He will be remembered for his incredible talent of explaining complicated topics through illustrations and diagrams and his magnificent graphics that ran in The Future of Everything. His light-hearted manner, humor and kindness will be dearly missed.
Kevin is survived by his wife Joni and our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this incredibly sad time.

Hand was 60 and died due to a brain aneurysm.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
