The Worcester Business Journal has hired Mica Kanner-Mascolo as a reporter covering health care and diversity, equity and inclusion.
A story on its website states, “Kanner-Mascolo started her role with WBJ on March 18. Since that time, she has covered the ongoing dispute between Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester and the Massachusetts Nurses Association labor union, exciting new research at UMass Chan Medical School in Worcester, and most recently the very public resignation of the executive director Clark University’s Holocaust center.
“Before coming to WBJ, Kanner-Mascolo was an editor and writer for New York City-based intersectional feminist news hub FEMINIST and a contributing writer for New York City-based beauty publication Byrdie.
“She earned her bachelor’s degree in creative writing from the New School in New York City, where she served as managing editor of the school’s 12th Street Journal publication.”
