Francesca Washtell, chief business correspondent at the Daily Mail, has taken over as deputy city editor at the Mail on Sunday.
Washtell has previously worked as a city reporter (covering economics, industrials, markets and tech) at the Daily Mail. She was also a deputy night editor and books editor at City A.M.
Washtell previously covered mining, energy and oil markets, construction, utilities and defense companies for City A.M., and before that, was vice and leisure reporter. She has also worked at Steel First, BMI Research and The Independent.
Washtell has a B.A. from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
