Ray to join the NY Times real estate desk

Esha Ray

Esha Ray joins the New York Times real estate desk to craft stories on luxury living, affordable housing and more.

Ray has served as a senior staff editor at the Times since 2021 and is also an adjunct professor at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY. She has also covered crime, courts and breaking news and was an editor at the New York Daily News.

She previously contributed to amNewYork and has reported for WCBS-TV Ch. 2, a CBS flagship station in New York City. She was also a reporter at News 12 and an associate producer at WNET New York Public Media.
