Washington state paper rescuers, Milwaukee’s new NBC sports reporter, Vox nabs Rolling Stone pols editor

Call them “local” heroes: Terry Ward and Amy Yaley (pictured) have rescued five papers in Washington state on the brink of closure. Ashely Washburn is now a sports reporter at Milwaukee NBC station WTMJ-TV Ch. 4, and Patrick Reis will depart Rolling Stone to join Vox as a senior politics editor.
