Camila DeChalus will join The Washington Post as a congressional reporter.
DeChalus begins on Oct. 10.
Recently, she was a senior D.C. politics reporter at Insider, where she covered national politics, campaigns, and Congress. Before that, she was a homeland security and immigration reporter at CQ Roll Call.
She reported on breaking news, politics, business, and entertainment news for Circa.com and was a news associate at CNN. She was a journalism fellow at the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting and interned at Voice of America.
DeChalus is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and the National Association of Black Journalists.
DeChalus has a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from American University.
