Washington Business Journal editor-in-chief Vandana Sinha, has accepted a regional editor position within the American City Business Journals chain.
Business Journal managing editor Michael Neibauer writes, “Sinha, 46, was named editor-in-chief in Washington in July 2019 after serving three years as managing editor and five years as assistant managing editor. She joined the paper in 2006 as a reporter covering the biotech and health beats. Prior to the Business Journal, Sinha, a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, was an associate editor at the Donald W. Reynolds National Center for Business Journalism.
“‘This newsroom is one of the most professionally fulfilling places I’ve ever had the privilege of working at, so it’s tough to leave,’ Sinha said. ‘But the chance to work with so many publications and editors in our company on how to continually elevate our content was even tougher to pass up. Regardless, one thing won’t change in Washington with this amazing team in place: our mission to tell our readers the most important business stories of the day, and to put that crucial news in context.’
“ACBJ named two other regional editors in addition to Sinha, who will each work with a portion of the chain’s 40 newsrooms, and one editor-in-chief to oversee national digital products.”
