- As senior TV editor, you cover the business of advertising, media, and television. What’s driving your coverage?
- People are very hungry to understand how this business is changing, what these Omnicoms and WPPs look like 10 years from now. In a different era, it was all about, “NBC and Coca Cola. have a great deal.” Now, it’s more about the technology behind it, and what that means. That can be harder to understand – and to explain in a way that people want to learn more, because it can get into a lot of jargon and in the weeds. So I try to ask about an angle that will help get the broader readership interested. Is there a consumer insight, or a pop-culture angle that will help explain some of the tech?
- In terms of what’s driving my coverage, it needs to be about how the world’s changing. Give me some signal about why things are going the way they are. Readers are really hungry to understand how the world works now, and it’s not always that clear.
