Justin Ling has been hired by the Toronto Star to be a columnist, with a focus on Big Tech.
He has been a contributing columnist.
Ling has been a freelance investigative journalist based in Montreal. His work covers national security, politics, misinformation, policing, conflict, and so much more.
His first book, “Missing From the Village,” was published in 2020; and his next book, on the history and politics of riot policing, is due out eventually.
He hosted the podcasts “The Village” and “The Flamethrowers” and he writes the weekly newsletter “Bug-eyed and Shameless.” Ling previously worked at Vice.
