Michael Calderone
New York Magazine has hired Michael Calderone as deputy editor of its Intelligencer vertical.
Calderone will start May 4. He has been at The Wrap as media editor.
He previously was the senior editor of Vanity Fair’s The Hive for five years.
He previously reported for more than a decade on political media and the news industry for Politico, HuffPost and the New York Observer, and he has appeared on CNN, MSNBC, NY1, PBS and NPR. Calderone has also received the National Press Club’s Rowse Press Criticism Award for his reporting.
Calderone holds a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University and a master’s degree from New York
