The Sun hires Purkess as a consumer champion and senior consumer reporter

The Sun has tapped Laura Purkess to serve as a consumer champion and senior consumer reporter. She is expected to begin in June.

Currently, Purkess is a Money Mail reporter at the Daily Mail, where she writes for the weekly personal finance section in the newspaper. Previously, she worked at Citywire as a reporter and news editor. She also served as deputy editor of Mouthy Money.

Purkess graduated from Queen Mary University of London.
